"Katie Kirkpatrick, 21, held off cancer to celebrate the happiest day of her life. Katie had chanced away cancer once, only to have it return - to clog her lungs and grab hold of her heart. Breathing was difficult now; she had to use oxygen. The pain in her back was so intense it broke through the morphine that was supposed to act as a shield. Her organs were shutting down, but it would not stop her from marrying Nick Godwin, 23, who was in love with Katie since 11th grade. Five days later, Katie died."

Happy Belated Earth Day Everyone!!!

Photo 101 in Phoenix

This past Saturday, I was incredibly lucky to attend a Photo 101 class in Phoenix taught by Nicole Hill Gerulat. The first half of the day consisted of instruction and I learned quite a bit. For the second half of the day, we had a photoshoot where we were able to practice different lighting techniques as well as get Nicole's feedback. To sum it up, this class was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone that is interested in photography. Check it out here.

Lauren & Kolin's Engagement Party

This past Saturday, my Uncle David and Jessica threw an engagement party for my cousin Lauren and her fiance, Kolin. My Uncle D made some absolutely delicious BBQ and Jess was a wonderful wonderful hostess. It was a great party!
